could be done I suppose, but simply making glass replacement panels out of carbon and ripping out all the electrics accomplishes 95% of the weight deletion without mucking about with any of that.
even if one was determined to properly delete the entire thing it would still be easier to make a composite panel and then bond that to the roof.
half the car is glued together anyway.
