My 335i has what sounds like a misfire on cold starts at idle that. Clears up after 40 seconds, my idle rpm don't fluctuate and I can hardly feel it inside the car. And I gave absolutely no fault codes.
So the question is is this normal, and what causes this.
I suppose it has something to do with DI and the fact I take a lot of short runs.
Do any of you experience the same issue?
I also took it into the dealer and they said it's pretty normal
You could try running two back to back tanks of 93 octane coupled with one bottle of 20 gallon, Techtron in each tank. If that doesn't clear it up, I agree with the above posters, look at the plugs first, see what index you are running and check to make sure the car is coded correctly. If they have 100,000 miles or more, maybe you need to change them out.

Coils? How old are they. 100k or more, change them out. If tuned, 50k or more change them out.

I started a thread back in June. BAP has VDO, index 12 for $784. For another & $200.00, you can get a lifetime warranty.
