I wanted to try something different but I'm a BMW guy at heart and although Audi is stepping up on many levels, the refinement just isn't there and I wouldn't go back.

Im very sorry to hear that. I was looking into b8 s4 and just never got around to driving it. driven b5-b6-b7 but not b8 so to hear you say that your e90 335i has more refinement and overall luxurious driving experiance reassures me I made the right decision getting a BMW.
