If you *don't* want darker images, just bump your ISO and open the aperture. Most cameras are pretty good at relatively high ISO now.

! I've shot a good bit with people, or some nature, but never cars. The location lighting was pretty dark, and I didn't have a tripod so I was really going for dark photos here. Aperture was all the way open and ISO was as high as I could without some grain.. If I were to do it again, I would definitely do a day/dusk shoot and a different location.

I sold the car when I moved from Canada
. I have a white F10 535i now. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss it. If you want a similar color, it's plasti dip - matte anthracite gray, and then waxed to give it a layer of light shine.
