Not true on a single turbo application. Upgraded engine mounts, poly bushings, and transfer case solid or poly mounts greatly increase strength of the x drive system. Highway pulls and rolls off anti lag are not a problem even at 650 whp with the upgrades I mentioned.
Now to your point if you are dumping the clutch at 5k on upgraded twins to get a killer 60 foot time, bad things are going to happen.
