I gave up wax.
For awhile I used Collinite 845 then switched to ceramic coatings on wheels.
I have summer / winter wheels so I can work on them during the off season.
Polish with CarPro Essence, let sit for a few days, wipe with Eraser then 2 coats of CQuartz UK3. Maintain with soap, ONR or lately ECH20 rinseless. with a ECH20/Reload wipe down

Im serious about the Sonax wheel cleaner plus, good stuff.
I mean Meguiars wheel brightener is what I would start with but any wheel cleaner would be a start. Maybe some Meguiars Hot rims, all wheel and tire.
Also, a couple of wheel brushes come in handy.

I have switched to a multiple mitt approach when using the conventional soap in a bucket instead of 2 buckets with grit guards.
Same approach as a multiple towel rinseless method. I like it way better.
No diddling around rinsing mitts.

I also have some Pinnacle Black Label wheel coating that isn't to bad if you want to just get the faces.

Oh shit I coat the tire to, but we will save that one for later.
