To properly do this the paint should be bare with no waxes or sealants. After a month just wash, clay, polish and then coat it.
Note that ceramic coatings will not prevent or reduce scratches or marring during winter. They will only allow the paint to have increased hydrophobic properties and allow it to be easier to clean. To 'protect' new paint, the best option would be PPF.
