BMW TRIED to address the problem and more or less solved it - for a daily driver. Their solution prooved to be insufficiet for track use with high ambient temps. Maybe Dinan designed a more efficient better performing cooler able to solve the issue. So that's why would anyone purchase a repacement high perf oil cooler from Dinan or s/o else. I'm waiting for some other aftermarket vendors to chime in, I remember Helix to mention something. But time enough till late spring with higher ambient temps.

And why not just get an FMIC? Well, get it, it's definitely a good upgrade, but even if it helps a little, I dont think it is designed to solve the issue.
