For the center piece you dont need to take the bumper off at all. You need to push it back where each of the tabs is. The bottom needs to come up and then push back. It sits in a groove kind of. Hard to explain. Once you have it pushed back move it to the left and pull it out from the right. Once you play with it for a minute or 2 it will be obvious on what to do.
