did this repair today, didn't use any extra wire just twisted each wire together and put both into the same side of a red butt connector, works perfect. I did get an error of a gear with an exclamation mark inside, come to find this is the lock out solenoid causing that, it was not engaging when in park. so some wiggling freed it up and you could see it snap back into place, just gets bound a lil when prying it off to free up the blue clipped wire. oh and all my wire were cut but the red one, love having DS back
