Questions about sensors and how coolant temp works and warned to user?

Hey so I just wanted to confirms some thoughts.

I recently did a coolant flush and refilled the system doing the proper bleeding procedure.

My only worry is I thought 8.5 liters would have been the ammount but I seem to have only put in 6 liters and it's full.

Now I drove the car hard and the system would definitely warn me right if something was wrong? Would it register heat spikes, since we don't have coolant gauge we can't visually see any spikes?

Just want some peace of mind here, and that a flush by draining the rad and disconnecting that hose from the back of the pump won't drain the full 8.5 liters as some still stay in the block?
