Did some more listening the other day on the motorway.
No throttle or very mild throttle just maintaining speed = no noise
Add a bit more to start gentle accelleration, noise appears and will go on continuously if you hold the throttle there, until the revs rise beyond maybe 2500rpm or so.
If you really put the foot down though, the noise vanishes.
Whats even more peculiar, is that if you lift your foot off the throttle after accellerating hard, as you pass thru the throttle position where the rattle would happen, the rattle appears again momentarily.
