Ok I finally gave up after the torrent download was estimated to end by early February
. So, did some more research and ran into:
https://www.codemybimmer.ca/ . All they requested from me in addition to the payment was the last 7 characters of my vehicles VIN. With that they were able to confirm their update would work. I ended up buying their 2021 map update including the FSC code for a mere $39.99 (US). The dealer had quoted me $390 because allegedly the car needed some sort of program update in addition to the map. After I bought through codemybimmer, within an hour I got an email with a link to the download plus instructions. The entire process of installation took about 3.5 hours. I went from a 2009 NA Premium map to a 2021 version on a 2010 E90 (335i) that had never ever been updated. Sweet! Check out the before and after pictures
