True, but a good aftermarket FMIC coupled with a true CAI will do a better job at avoiding heat soak. Case in point, last night I did a hard 3rd gear pull in 86 degree temps...my temp at the TB was 99 degrees. I did that pull after my car was warmed up and my oil temps were at 230.
