Years ago I tested MPG on a 3.0l Alfa GTV with normal and super and I definitely got better MPG from super unleaded, in fact the extra MPG covered the higher cost of Shell V-Power. Nowadays I still stick V-Power in but the differential in cost has grown so there's no way it balances out anymore.

But anyway, I think you'll find the remap has added a little extra weight to your right foot so even with higher octane fuel your MPG might drop a little!
