Okay I know this post is ancient, but I have to comment. The OP made a big deal out of wearing goggles because batteries can explode! He even stated have a professional replace the battery because it can explode. LOL
Yes batteries can explode, but only under conditions where the battery is being charged and there is a problem with the venting system and a spark is introduced. Considering the battery is being replaced when it is not in a state of charge it can't explode while replacing it using this procedure. Batteries only make explosive gasses when being charged.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
