Hi,
I have a 2008/10 LCI E91 330i (N53, DI engine), it has about 40k miles (mainly in France where petrol has a lower sulfur rate than in USA). Do I need to start worrying about carbon buil-up?
The car runs quit smooth, but I am not sure the 272hp are really there and fuel economy is good but not as good as some other 330i N53 I have seen (28 mpg on average in my case)...is there an easy way to check the intake valve state ??
I know that this engine hasn't been exported to US (I bet because of the higher petrol sulfur rate...) but any of you has experience in intake valve cleaning on a 330i N53 ? Is the build up related to the heat ? Any chance that the 330i has less chance of building up carbon than the 335i because the motor generates less heat ?
Thanks !
