What years specifically were you looking at (for the Swedish cars)? Even though the 850s were problematic, regular maintenance and repair took one to well over 300k and the other was lost in a water main break/flood after eclipsing 300k as well.

But yeah going the Honda route would be a much safer bet from the reliability standpoint. One thing to remember, though, is that the individual car's history can be much more important than the overall reliability ratings.
