That's what always irked me with automatic clutch transmissions... Granted there are a slew of things that can go wrong with them, but the most likely item to fail first, by design, is the clutch. And given how much you have to dig into the transmission to get to them (much more money/cost than replacing the clutch on a traditional 6-speed), tossing that bill onto the customer because it is a "wearable item" doesn't sit right with me.

To be honest, that's the main reason I didn't go DCT with my M3. Although the reliability reports for the DCT are proving me wrong, I just didn't see a need to willing jump into that potential trap...

Getting it fixed at the steal... I mean dealer or an indy shop?
