The short end is definitely knackered. The motor housing should be bolted to the rail from what I remember. I've heard of people using a tool to manual move the seat forward and backward. I can't remember what specific bit though fits inside where the cable sat.

Does anyone have any idea on what bit or tool fits in there to move the rail manually. Really appreciate all the help, thanks!
