If im understanding your question right... To find out for sure if it really is in limp mode just floor it and your car will not go over 3k rpms. Otherwise its just a check engine light from my experience!
I dont have V2 but from what i see adjusting the torque settings higher has brought a couple people CEL's and they had to back it down to 85% or something like that!
