run a new constant 12V from the battery. some have this issue, others don't. not sure why. just had to do that last night to an e92 head unit install we did 2 weeks ago. car had 12V constant at the harness for the 10 minutes i held the test light there with the doors all shut but i guess after a few hours it timed out.
