Welcome to the forum.
Not having the spectrum of guages can be disconcerting but the sensor and monitoring is excellent.
Vent guages or an app like Torque can be used to monitor most of the common data via OBD port.
If you are chasing more power then just buy a 330D and be safe in the knowledge that fuel economy is phenomanal and know that you will never have to visit forums because of unreliability.
