so do I need a new throttle body? also looking online the member above mentioned electronic throttle body but I cant seem to find anything under electronic just throttle body etc.

I would say it was faulty by the look of that vid.Its a throttle body in the sense it's a butterfly valve in a housing.It shuts off for clean stop of the engine and during dpf runs etc.Air mass readings will have no bearing on it as it's not operated in relation to air flow,just engine shut down.We can wait for everyone to chime in with their views of course but what do I know I'm only a BMW diag tech.😫
