Basically I have an 07 335i with the old style "gong" which is simply just a subtle dinging noise. When I was looking into upgrading to the wonderful bmw gong I saw that all it took was swapping to the LCI radio and coding in the gong. Not hard got it to work no issues. But as soon as I swapped in my eonon system it went to a horrible eonon gong so I went back to the stock boring dinging. Now I have the LCI radio, metra 71 and 70 and I just want to relocate the unit to the trunk just so I can upgrade to the LCI gongs. I don't care about the dealer being able to code my car as it's 13 years old and they're not going to touch my car and I have coded out the sos error because I could care less about it...
Will I still be able to have steering wheel functionality as I do now?
Also how am I going to get the can bus cables connected into the eonon system without removing the connected controls?
