I picked up a Simpson 2800psi a few black fridays ago and it works great, you can use the different nozzles to adjust the pressure, I usually use the white one which is like 40*, very gentle, I wouldn't worry about chipping the paint.
Foam gun a must as well, it attaches right to the pressure washer, worth the purchase. I got this one:
