Hi there,
That is correct. The 1-Series specific EC-7s in 18x8.5" ET45 and 18x9.5" ET58 sizes are not ideal for the E9X non-M chassis. You would have to use some pretty large spacers to get them to fit right, which I wouldn't suggest vs. getting a set of wheels better suited for your application.
