Yes it was covered for me.
I didn't pay anything. A wheel bearing really shouldn't be failing at 56k miles. I've had cars go well over 100k and never need them replaced.
Also the car was CPO'd and had the issue when I got it. I just didn't know it wasn't normal until later and it got worse over time.
