One thing is you can always learn from other's experience. So, i can go back & do more research or learn from others. I have decided to be little smart and chose the second route... :-)

Well, i would need a convertible but within a price range, so Mx is out of option for me, as they would shoot upto 100K depending on the models + options.
Bottomline is for the 2011 model, is it fair to pay 500 over invoice + maco (380) + doc fee (55) thus about $900 in dealer profit, seems like it can be better.
Any suggestions?
Also, what is a nominal lic+reg fee in california? Any help is appreciated.
