I'm an Mac user. That sort of works against me as ista is a windows program. I'm not really familiar with windows based programs. I have ista, but I haven't really played with it too much. I haven't had a need knock on wood....
I typically recommend a scanner like Foxwell/ Schwaben for most folks.

Is this the code reader you have? It can code/register the injectors and clearly it can read codes from the DME...does it read the codes from the other modules? I haven't needed that yet but I've seen it referred to in other threads...
I think of myself as pretty mechanically inclined from a DIY perspective...but not particularly tech savvy. In fact the tech aspects of these cars are what worry me the most...
