Sorry CaptOz I forgot.

My symptoms began as slow starting (long cranking times) when the engine was cold. Then it developed rough running and once or twice went into "limp home mode"- 1/2 engine power (kind of like the 323i loan car I was given)

The problems lasted a total of 4 weeks but progressively worsened and became more frequent so I was lucky not to breakdown completely before then. The car never died, but I used to say a little prayer every morning for those 3 weeks because of the experinces I had read about from other owners in the US.

I am curious if any aussie 335 owners have had fuel pump problems?
