All lifts have built-in safety locks. You can let a car sit on a lift forever.
To the OP, the lift points on the rocker panels are the place to place jackstands. If you are concerned, just set a block of wood between the stand and the liftpoint. You can leave your car on the stands indefinately. A body at rest stays at rest unless a force is acted upon it. - Sir Issac Newton.
