My lawyer friend said that the police will have to show evidence of your speeding in court anyway (if you choose to contest the ticket) so she said she didn't see any reason why the police would be so secretive in hiding the speed you were caught on radar from you. Of course, some police are just jerks and won't show it to you, but I suppose if you ask nicely then they could show it to you...
