2k would be an absolute bargain, I would be super surprised if someone could do a full job for that money considering the parts alone cost close to that.

Moreover the process is remove head, full service and replace valve stem seals. Also replace all timing gear, chain, guides etc while in There as they also fail.

There after it's like a new engine and enjoy many more years of use.

2nd hand motor will have the exact same issue soon after if not already done. The issue is a shame as it's otherwise a decient motor once the typical bmw special leaks are sorted, in all the usual places.

is this the same for the N54?
