So yea the SMFW setup with a new clutch will require a good 300-500 miles to fully break in and quiet down. Raising the idle further quiets down any rattle noises from going with the SMFW.

For a few folks the SMFW has 3 benefits, since it's less moving parts it's less prone to fail like the DMFW over time. The SMFW is generally cheaper and lastly it's the only option for folks over 500HP as the DMFW becomes to imbalanced in the 500+ range.
