I do not necessarily agree with that - a lot of people I know who have moved to Europe tell me salaries are not that much higher - in fact in some cases lower as you get more vacation.
Netherlands, Sweden - standard vacation is 6-8 weeks...
I know a CA who moved to London..he says his taxes are higher and he was doing better in Toronto and will move back to Toronto after is commitment is up...
In Italy, a lot of riches come from old money...countries like Italy are drowning in debt...in fact Italy's population is in decline as people are leaving to work and make money elsewhere...
