hello im assuming many of us have come across this error message: SOS malfunction.
so here is the story i have a 2011 e93 m3. everything was working fine until i started coding my car using ncs expert using DCAN cable. i was able to code all the ecu's except TCUM, and 2MULF.
i would get this error:no response from ecu or not connected.
so i thought that i need to update the unit using winkfp using DCAN cable. so my car wasnt connected to external power when i tried the update battery got low and it interrupted the update car battery got low. ever since i got SOS malfunction. tried it again using external power by jumping car to my friends car, went half way got error: security permission denied.

ncs expert gives me this error now:
coapi-2041: WRONG ECU CODING INDEL a_e65R: CODIERINDEX = FFH
TCU15MOS.C16: CODIERINDEX = 16

long story short now my telephone bluetooth is greyed out, and voice commands not working(MIC).

someone told me i need ICOM MOST connection to code TCUM.

i have a feeling i need most connection to revive the ecu.
but then i dont understand how did it trigger sos malfunction if tcum,2mulf only works with MOST connection. btw winkfp shows ecu status 0C. and when i retrieve UIF using inpa it shows status Okay.
any input would be appreciated thanks.
