the afe elite utilizes the factory ducting pathways which imho is a very efficient way to get cold air to the intake--the same way the oem box does. scoops are for the looks, no need for them. this is a great deal, and i love the sealed look guessing it doesn't heatsoak as much as the open design. id get it off ya if i hadnt already bought a non sealed unit. glws.
