This is super reassuring to know, thanks for the insight

when I started the thread, I knew I wanted 18x9 ideally, but needed confirmation of if it was even possible, and if so, what offset would make it work. that’s why I hadn’t included offset in the OP

I ended up grabbing a set of 18x9 et30.
Going to mount this weekend, hoping the slight geometry change from m3 CA conversion doesn’t add it’s own set of issues

As stated elsewhere, 18 x 9 +29 or +30 will easily accommodate a 265/35 tire in most cases up front and in the rear.

I run square 513M front F80 wheels, which are 18 x 9 +29 and 255/35 Michelin Pilot Sports All Season tires. I use a spacer in the rear with those sizes, and I have enough to go with a 265/35 tire if I want.
