I'm at high elevation which makes everything a bit laggier, so I may have to be a bit more aggressive than you. But I found that flooring it at the first yellow and dropping it on the 3rd yellow worked nicely at the dragstrip. That way you have a full second at WOT and are very close to 5000rpm when the clutch drops. That was enough to avoid bogging under my conditions. The first couple of trips to the track doing that I spun the tires a bit and it was perfect. By the end of the season the track had gotten stickier and my stock clutch had gotten weaker and my clutch stopped hooking up. So I'm done at the track until I get a better clutch.
