Intake valve cleaning is recommended every 30,000 miles. Cleaning the intake valves can free up lost HP/TQ and increase gas mileage, as the carbon build up can and will impede air flow.

Dirty intake valves can cause rough startups, stumbling idle, cold start issues, and in some severe cases can even cause misfires.
Here is a Before and After picture of our work done on a 2007 335i. This car had the intake valves cleaned just 12,000 miles ago and already had this much buildup!
