Actually, my car is production 12/07 and has a slight ticking metallic noise at start up only. Once the car is warmed up i believe that the noise dissapears. I think that maybe the tickign noise is normal for the waste gate to try to warm up the turbos right after start up but goes away later (unless this is a premature sign of failure
). If the ticking persists and occurs when the engine is warmed up and upon deacceleration as well, then you might have a wastegate actuator in need of being replaced...
