I don't understand this comment. The ideas behind the movies are completely different.
The Matrix was about humanity being subjugated by machines.
Inception was primarily about the concept of being able to plant an idea in someones head while they dream, such that when they wake up they think they had an original idea.
Both have their roots in Plato's Allegory of the Cave I suppose, but the movies have two distinct plots.
