I finally got the center lower grill painted (what a pain to take off!) What i did, which was not mentioned in the DIY, what i that i used an old credit card to add some extra pressure on those clips which helped to pop off the grill. Once painted and dried, you can then add it back on. Some of the clips are easier to get on than others. so what i did (since you don't have that much leverage to pop some of the clips back in) is to use a bungee cord and bend the metal hook into an L shape and hook it to the back of that grill to make it pop back into the grill.
