All the mod does it keep the valve open for noise restriction, it should have any effect on hp gains or losses. The sound is not noticeable enough for my satisfaction so i returned it back to stock, if the mod could even be called a mod. Maybe it would have a better effect with an intake? or an exhaust? or a 335
