Agreed. I replaced my filter with an oiled AFE, and it totally rocks. When I blip the throttle for downshifts, the RPMs go up immediately now, like on my previous E46. Before I had to plan ahead and give more gas. I think this is a must-do. Oh, and scoops help also - but there was more dirt in the airbox than without them, you just need to clean it and filter more often.
