These reports are definitely "high effort," as you say, but they're really fun to put together.

Many people view New Jersey as just a big parking lot filled with oil refineries, but in actuality it's (generally) a beautiful place. Favorite joke: Why does New York have all the lawyers and New Jersey have all the toxic waste sites? Because New Jersey had first choice!

Similarly, a trip through Connecticut on Interstate 95 will make you never want to return, but off the beaten path it's wonderful. However, after going through some pretty sketchy areas in Waterbury and Bridgeport, I have to say that parts of Connecticut look like opioid central. I hope these neighborhoods can recover.
