The struts might or might not clear the fenders.
Depends if the car is high enough off the ground and how low you can lower the subframe.
If you leave them on you will definitely have to maneuver them around the fenders, or just remove them to avoid that.
Once the wagon engine bay is empty and everything is unattached from the n54 engine, shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes to remove it and switch it over to the wagon.
