You should have seen the ferry coming home this year. We were on the sister ship to the SeaCat Isle of Man (due to the altercation that the aformentioned had with a container ship in Liverpool). I started to wonder when they had all the passengers get out before I parked. Then without a word of a lie they crammed you in with about 4" clearance on the nearside (wing mirrors overlapping) and a generous 6" on the off side so you could get in and out of the car.
The poor guy to my left had to get into his car through the passenger door as there wasn't enough room for him to walk between his and mine, let alone open a door. To get out you had to make a multi-point turn to get across to the other side of the ship and the single exit door, all within a couple of inches of the other vehicles.
Funnily enough all the old grannies were put in line with the door.
