I haven't heard of many DSC units failing completely on later cars - maybe on the earlier ones the hydraulic pump might fail? There have been the odd ABS sensor failure, but that certainly doesn't cost £1,712. I'd be interested to see the breakdown of the invoice, to see what they've costed for. If you can get a scan, and if you don't mind, PM me the details??
